Albert Otis Verdeschi
 
April 16, 1955 - March 30, 2019
Albert Otis Verdeschi, 63, passed away at his home in Granbury, Texas, on March 30, 2019. He was born in Peekskill, New York to Vincent F. and Vernie (Matthews) Verdeschi on April 16, 1955. While living in Buchanan, New York for over 50 years, he graduated from Hendrick Hudson High School, went off to play basketball for Lafayette College and then transferred to SUNY Geneseo, where he met his future wife, Laurie (Tritt) Verdeschi. They raised two sons, Vincent Wilbur and Benjamin Vern Verdeschi. Al worked extensively in the publishing industry but his true passions were sports, coaching baseball and basketball as well as serving as an umpire and referee. For the last 8 years, Al lived in Texas to be close to his mother. He is survived by Vincent and Ben and his former wife and good friend, Laurie. Al is preceded in death by his father, his mother, and his brother, Matthew Verdeschi. He is also survived by his extended family including aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Meri Lee Noble (Piliouras) (1973)

I didn't know that Al Verdeschi had passed away and I am shocked and deeply saddened.  Al was like a brother to me.  I remember spending a lot of time with him - and his family.  Too young!  My thoughts are with his friends and family.

Cindi Lou Vila (Kaye) (1974)

Very sad to learn of Al's passing. He was a good friend, listener and supporter for many years. Fun memories of HS and double dating. Our friendship extended to college.Grateful for knowing him.
